My name is Vivienne Varay, and I am a visual artist and educator. I make work about the emotional impact of objects and materials. My work is research and concept focused. I am interested in how contemporary craft create tactile experiences for wearers and viewers to obtain a sense of identity & power through jewelry and adornment.

Currently, I am living and working in Pullman, Washington. I am a Lecturer in the department of Digital Technology and Culture at Washington State University. In 2016, I received my Master of Fine Arts from the University of Georgia and my Bachelor of Fine Arts from Arizona State University. My work has been exhibited nationally and internationally at Romanian Jewellery Week, Brooklyn Metal Works, Georgia Museum of Art, TAG Gallery, and recently hosted my first solo exhibition during Munich Jewellery Week 2024.
